The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

Mission Council Current Members are posted in the Narthex, along with meeting minutes. Terms are typically 2 years, with some being 1 year. Members are elected at the May Congregational Meeting. Those interested in serving on the Mission Council should speak with the Council President or Pastor.	Discipleship The Discipleship Team emphasizes the “Marks of Discipleship”, which include: Pray daily, Worship weekly, Read the Bible daily, Serve others, Relate with one another, and share the Gospel and Give of our time, talents and treasures. Our team encourages these practices through a scripture-based stewardship program, coordinating with Christian Education in facilitating an Adult Sunday School class, prayer partners, and a congregational devotion booklet.
Property Team This team works to maintain and improve the church, contents and grounds.	Youth Mission Team The Youth Mission Team is for youth in 6th grade and up. We meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, except during certain times of the year, ie., Lent, Summer, etc. Contact the office if you are interested in being a part of the Youth Mission Team or wish to volunteer to help in any way. Or, come to a meeting and hear about all the exciting things happening!
Fellowship & Recreation The Fellowship and Recreation Committee provides opportunities for all of us to get together, to get to know each other, have fun and become recreated. If you are interested or have any ideas of what programs we can provide or what we can do for recreation, or if you would like to be on our committee please contact the church office.	Mutual Ministry Mutual Ministry is a team that works as a partner with the congregation and Pastor. Those interested should speak with the Council President or Pastor.
Peer Ministry Peer Ministry is a committee for the members of Good Shepherd. Our responsibilities are Member Care. If you would like to help on this committee or need assistance please contact the church office.	Christian Education Chooses classes and curriculum to be presented to all age groups of the congregation. Also responsible for the VBS program. If you are interested in working with this team or just participating in our Christian Education courses, please contact the church office.
Deborah Circle Meets every first Wednesday of the month at 10:00 am	Men’s Group Meets every second Wednesday of the month at 9:30 am
Worship & Music For info on Worship Leaders, Altar Guild, Music Selection, Church Flowers, Communion set up, Worship supplies, or special services contact the church office. Thank you for your support.	Outreach Outreach is the part of the Mission Council that works within the church to support members and reaches out into the community to help promote Christ’s presence by helping others. If you are interested in learning more about this team or are interested in helping out, please contact the church office.
Angel Food Ministries Angel Food provides restaurant grade food at a reduced cost. Our menu’s are always available in the mail box outside the office or online at www.angelfoodministries.com. If you would like to donate for the benevolent boxes please make your checks to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and note Angel Food on the memo line.
